Founder of 17 Plumbing · Oakville

Become.
Then build.

I built a plumbing company in a trade where I rarely saw anyone who looked like me. Now I help women build businesses with the confidence, marketing and systems that make them last.

For women founders — newcomers, first-time owners and women in male-dominated industries — ready to build something that lasts.

A note from Zainab

I built my own way in.

Residential to airportSmall plumbing jobs · Condo buildings · Toronto Pearson International Airport

I moved to Canada in 2017. In 2021 I started 17 Plumbing. I didn’t hold the licence and I didn’t fit the picture of a plumber, but I learned how to build trust, win commercial contracts and lead a team in a trade that is still almost all men.

I know the internal work and the business work belong together. Confidence changes how you enter a room. Skill, consistency and good decisions turn that energy into something real.

Today I share what I have learned with women ready to build on their own terms.

From small residential plumbing jobs to condo buildings and commercial plumbing at Toronto Pearson International Airport, I learned how to earn trust at every stage of growth.

Work with me

The work begins within.

We start with your internal shift. From there, we build the practical skills and systems your business needs.

01

The internal shift

Explore your beliefs, vision and self-image, and how you dress, speak and carry yourself. Then turn that intention into daily decisions and actions that move the business.

02

AI for your business

Learn practical ways to prompt AI for research, writing, ideas and workflows that make your work more effective.

03

Advertise your business

Clarify your offer, speak directly to the people you serve and turn attention into inquiries and sales.

04

Scaling with intention

Strengthen operations, lead your team, reinvest deliberately and build the next revenue stream when the first is working.

05

Investment & partnerships

I selectively explore opportunities to invest in businesses and help them grow. If you have traction and want a strategic partner, introduce your business and your vision.

My perspective

Believe it.
Live it.
Build it.

I believe the mind shapes the possibilities we can see for ourselves. The work begins when you choose the person you intend to become and practice showing up as her.

Then we get specific: a strong offer, marketing that leads to customers, smart use of AI and decisions that support sustainable growth.

Presence opens a door. The work you do after walking through it builds the business.
Podcast guest & Keynote speaker

Real business experience.
Lessons women can use.

I came to Canada in 2017 and started a plumbing company in 2021, in an industry where I rarely saw anyone who looked like me. My first $500K came at 33 years old. I talk openly about what it actually took. I cover the fear, the systems, the money decisions and the rooms I had to walk into before I felt ready.

Your listeners get a real founder story with lessons they can use on Monday morning.

Conversations I bring
  • Walking into rooms that scare you: How I built confidence in a male-dominated trade.
  • Things small businesses underestimate: The unglamorous lessons behind real revenue.
  • AI for the everyday founder: How I use AI to market, write and make decisions faster.
  • From newcomer to employer: Building a business in a new country from nothing.
  • The internal shift: Why who you become matters more than the business plan.

Start here

Before we build, we look honestly at where you are.

The Founder Assessment is a focused 60-minute private session. We look at three things: your mindset, how you show up, and the business itself. You'll leave knowing what's holding you back, what to fix first and whether working together is the right next step.

  1. 01

    Where you are

Your business, your numbers and your honest confidence level.

  2. 02

    What's in the way

The belief, habit or gap that's quietly costing you.

  3. 03

    Your first three moves

Clear actions you can take this month, whether or not we work together.
